These tours are different
To join us, simply bring $20.00 per person, per tour, at the tour times you choose.
While enjoying beverages, your guide will show original artifacts and pictures. You will hear stories about the people who lived in the period. Bring a picnic and join us for all three tours — a full day of hands-on history, local secrets, and surprises around every corner.
Tour One: Be a hunter-gatherer like the Salinan Indians and learn to talk like the original cowboys in Paso Robles. Participants will learn about geological history by studying fossils. You will have the use of binoculars to study many subjects, as well as walk around and touch history, original flora, and fauna. See rare birds!
Tour Two: Participants will learn about the Victorian era using phrases that are considered funny today. You will have the chance to knock an almond tree just like they did in the 1920's. You will see early pictures of 1900 Paso Robles. Part of the tour will let you play horseshoes according to the original rules and equipment.
Tour Three: Play old marbles, spin the top, and see tools and artifacts from this area you won't see in a museum. You will hear about local celebrities, experience local ghost stories, and you will have a chance to get antique receipts showing how people ate in the 19th and 20th centuries, and more! You will get a chance to play nineteenth-century games like Jack Straws and Lotto. You will get a chance to go Sasquatching at the end of the tour.
